All eyes on the next season of SA20 League

Mumbai: League Commissioner Graeme Smith said  that the third season of the SA20 League would begin on January 9 and continue through February 8 of the following year. According to Smith, the teams are already making plans for the next season in an attempt to sign some of the top players on the T20 circuit.

In a statement, Smith said, “After two great seasons, our goal is to maintain ownership of the South African summer and give everyone the chance to enjoy some of the biggest names in world cricket, whether in sold-out stadiums or via the global broadcast.”

“Preparations are already underway, and over the next several months, our schedule, auction, and player announcements will be made public. We are eager to provide athletes and spectators with yet another amazing sporting and entertainment event.

The league’s defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who have won the last two championships, will be going for a third. The Eastern Cape is one of five teams in the tournament; the other teams are the Joburg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, MI Cape Town, and the runners-up Pretoria Capitals (2022–23) and Durban’s Super Giants (2023–24).
